Columbus, OH USA: Phil Nidd has joined DNV Columbus as a principal engineer and senior project manager. Nidd is based out of the Houston office and will be managing large-scale pipeline integrity and litigation projects, as well as working on technical marketing. "I would like to provide significant support for the expansion and development of pipeline integrity and lititgation projects for DNV Columbus," explained Nidd.

Before joining DNV Columbus Phil Nidd was the director of Pipeline and Litigation Services for Intertek-APTECH where he oversaw all pipeline technical services, including pipeline fitness-forservice assessment programs, pipeline rehabilitation management, pipeline integrity management plan development, and was also responsible for managing all Houston-based litigation support projects.

Nidd has over 35 years of technical and management experience in the asset integrity business, having served as manager of Pipeline Integrity for a pipeline operating company, vice president of Operations for an international engineering consulting firm, and as an independent pipeline integrity consultant where he worked extensively in South America, Russia and Canada.

He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers International (NACE), the American Society of Metals (ASM), the American Socity of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCE), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
